Fr. Cyriac Velikkettel, son of late Mr. Pothen and Mrs. Anna Velikkettel, was born on 7th December 1939 at Uzhavoor, Kottayam, Kerala. He was baptized on 12th December 1940 at St Stephen’s Church, Uzhavoor. He received confirmation in the same church on 4th December 1941. His family belongs to the Syro-Malabar Rite of the Diocese of Ernakulam. After passing SSC, he joined the MSFS Minor Seminary, Mount Mary, Arumanoor, Kerala in 1960.
